I am so thrilled to announce the publication of my YA novel,Β The Unexpected Consequence of Bleeding on a Tuesday, a dark-comedy about a high school senior whose entire life plan is ruined by her period’s early arrival.
This book means so much to me… talking about periods in YA is something I’m deeply passionate about, and I am so happy to be a part of this movement. The main character in this story has endometriosis, and it impacts every facet of her life. I am honored that I get to tell so much of my own story through her.
My wonderful editor, Kelly Delaney from Crown Books for Young Readers (which is an imprint of Penguin/Random House), is such an enthusiastic partner and I am excited for the development the next many months will hold.
My agent, the unmatched Moe Ferrara at BookEnds Literary, has been by my side, in the trenches with me for the past few (very difficult) years of this publishing journey, and her unwavering support of this book has truly changed my life as an author.
Publication is currently planned for Summer 2025, but I will keep you posted as more news develops!
